two techs and an 800/serato jt donaldson, troydon, mario fabarini, manuel sahagan, hoxton whores, dr. kucho, andy caldwell, kinky movment, groove armada, jason hodges, inland knights, lawn chair generals, chuck love, jay j, bryan jones, kirby, deko-ze, tDj lacey started his music career at the age of 11 when he first picked up a guitar, with his first in fluences of southern rock bands, folk and jam bands, in high school he was a memeber of an organiziation called the black hole which involved many different types of artists sharing there craft with each other. By the age of 18 lacey had moved on to drums and had played with the idea of playing in a band in the future, that goal was reached by the age of 20 and for the next four years that was his direction. Playing covers by such artist's as Allman brother, Phish, Grateful dead, Led zepplin, doobie brother's and many other different artist's of that time period. During his time with drums he had also come across a major influence in his life who happened to be a dj with an arsenal of records with strong early musical rythms under his belt he was playing before crowds within two weeks. First it was garage's and house party's that he played and it soon migrated to the clubs and bars in Banff/ Canmore alberta. First starting a residency and promoting shows at Zona's bistro where he brought in acts from all across canada sustaining the electronic seen in the town. Seeing how it was not an easy road back then to just pop out and become a dj, lacey had to pave his own road and get recognition the old fashion way...throw the party. As a result of this he has been fortunate enough to play alongside such acts as: jonathan david paech Andy Caldwell, Kaskade, Jason Hodges,James Teej, Loopity goofs, Bad boy Bill, Luke Mckeehan, Jon delerious, Matt b, Freddy J, Kenny Glasgow, Matt C, dj Diamond, Vicious Vic, lil miss booty, Deko-ze, Rob Solo, Lori the HI-FI , Jay Hamilton, Dr. j, Mat b, Robbie c, Arlen, Mark Davis, Brad Copeland, Freaky Flow, Pete Wilde, Czech,Tim Patrick, Big Leauge chu, Vinyl Fixx, Cary Chang, Jason Klos, Wakket, and many more to come. His dj career has led him to play from Halifax to Vancouver island and does not plan on stoping there. DJ LACEY"S style is not one to be compaired with, having the experience and knowledge of knowing how to start and finish a night you can be sure that you will be on quite a ride from deep funky house to tech, electro, breaks, funk, and whatever the crowd is in demand for at that givin moment, smooth mixing and a welcoming stage pressence sets this dj apart from many.
